Is the Renewable Heat Incentive Still Available?
No, the Renewable Heat Incentive closed to new applicants on the 31st of March 2022.
Are There Any Grants Currently Available for Air Source?
Yes, there is a new grant in place called the Boiler Upgrade Scheme.
What Is the Boiler Upgrade Scheme?
The boiler upgrade scheme was introduced by the government on the 23rd of May 2022.
It aims to support and encourage property owners to install low carbon technologies such as heat pumps in their properties.
The grant is available from 2022 – 2025 and helps the property owner with the upfront cost of the system and installation cost with a £5,000 voucher.
Homeowners can only claim one grant per property. The grant is not available for social housing and new build properties. Although, some self-builds may be eligible to claim the funding.
