What SigenStor is
Sigenergy's SigenStor is a stackable all-in-one unit combining:
- A hybrid solar inverter (5-25 kW single-phase or three-phase)
- 8 kWh LFP battery modules (stack 1-6 high, so 8-48 kWh per stack)
- A built-in EV DC fast charger module (optional)
- A built-in Gateway for whole-home backup (optional)
- mySigen AI control platform
It is a single column of stacked modules, designed for indoor or outdoor mount, and built to grow with you. You can start with a hybrid inverter + one battery module + Gateway, then add more battery modules or the EV charger over time. The whole stack is plug-and-play; modules clip together and self-configure.

Why we install Sigenergy
-
The deepest cycle life on the market
8,000+ cycles to 70% State of Health is best-in-class. At one cycle per day, that is 22 years of full-depth use.
-
True modularity
Start at 8 kWh and 5kW power. Add a battery module ten months later. Add another the year after. Add the EV charger module two years after that. The system grows. There is no "you should have bought the bigger one" regret.
-
EV-ready DC charging
Most home batteries discharge to AC, your EV charger then converts back to DC. Two unnecessary conversions. Sigenergy can DC-charge directly from the battery to the car at up to 25 kW. Faster, more efficient, and reduces equipment count.
-
Whole-home backup with Gateway
10-25 kW continuous, 16-37 kW peak depending on the inverter. More than enough to run an entire house including oven, electric shower, EV charger and multi-zone heat pump simultaneously.
-
mySigen AI
Like Solis AI but the controls go further: full Octopus integration, half-hourly market trading on Agile, automatic V2G readiness for when bidirectional charging arrives, full home energy management.
-
Compact
Each 8kWh module is about the size of a small dehumidifier. A 24kWh + EV charger stack is the same footprint as a small kitchen cabinet.
-
Quiet
The fans only spin under high load. Most of the time the system is silent. Suits utility, hallway and even living-room installs that other batteries cannot do.
Where Sigenergy makes sense
Best for:
Customers who want the most future-proof system available, EV households (especially with future V2G interest), heat pump homes, customers planning major upgrades over the next 5-10 years, off-grid or near-off-grid setups, and homes where physical space is tight.
Less ideal for:
Customers who want the lowest entry price (it is a premium product), or customers who do not need any expansion potential.
Compatibility
Sigenergy is a closed ecosystem, the battery, inverter, EV charger and Gateway must all be Sigenergy. That is the price of the deep integration. The system does work alongside existing third-party solar, but you would install the SigenStor hybrid inverter (replacing or supplementing your existing solar inverter).
Smart tariffs: Octopus Agile, Flux, Cosy, Intelligent Octopus Go, and the equivalent on most other suppliers. The mySigen platform reads tariff data directly.
Where it lives
IP66 outdoor rated. We install Sigenergy stacks in garages, utilities, internal cupboards, side walls (with weather hood for very exposed positions), outbuildings, and even integrated into kitchen or hallway joinery (the units are designed to look like furniture).

Warranty in plain English
Sigenergy warrants the battery modules to retain at least 70% of original capacity after 15 years - the longest warranty on the UK market. The inverter has a 10-year warranty extendable to 20 years for a fee. Greenscape Energy's workmanship warranty is 10 years. Cells handle 8,000+ cycles which is 22-25 years of real-world use, so the chemistry should outlast the warranty.
mySigen AI features
- Dynamic tariff arbitrage (Octopus Agile, Tibber, Octopus Power Pack)
- Weather-based scheduling
- Heat pump SG Ready integration (Clivet, Vaillant, NIBE, etc)
- EV smart charging schedules
- Whole-home backup with reserve management
- V2H readiness (planned firmware update for vehicle-to-home discharging from compatible EVs)
- Octopus Kraken VPP integration (sell power to the grid when prices spike)
- Multi-property management (for owners with multiple installations)
What we have learned from installing them
Sigenergy launched in the UK in 2023. We have installed many SigenStor systems across Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex and the feedback pattern is consistent:
- Customers love the modularity. Many add a second module within 12-18 months of original install.
- The whole-home backup is genuinely whole-home. Customers in rural Suffolk who had frequent power cuts before Sigenergy describe it as "invisible" now.
- The app is excellent (better than Tesla's for power users, slightly less polished for casual users).
- The premium price is justified by the warranty length, cycle life and EV integration.
- Worth noting: Sigenergy is a newer brand. Tesla has 8 years of UK track record, Solis has 12, Sigenergy has 3. We are confident in the kit but the long-term real-world data is just shorter. The 15-year warranty makes that less of a worry.
