The Bosch Climate range is one of the most highly engineered domestic air-conditioning systems available in the UK. We install the 3000i as the outdoor unit for single-split systems, the 3200i as the indoor wall unit across the range, and the 5000i as the outdoor unit for multi-split systems (paired with up to five 3200i indoor units). Why we install Bosch
Plenty of decent air-conditioning brands exist on the UK market. Mitsubishi, Daikin, Samsung, LG, Toshiba. We've worked with several over the years. We standardised on Bosch for our domestic range because of four specific things.
Engineering quality. Bosch builds the units in factories with the same precision standards as their heating systems and household appliances. Mean time between failures is among the longest in the industry, and the units typically run for 15+ years with minimal maintenance.
Whisper-quiet operation. The Bosch Climate 3200i indoor wall unit measures at 21 dB on low fan setting, softer than a whisper and quieter than a typical fridge. Customers consistently tell us "I forget it's on."
Heating efficiency. Bosch Climate systems run at up to 510% efficiency in heating mode, meaning 1 kWh of electricity delivers up to 5.1 kWh of heat. That's class-leading for a domestic split system and the reason these units beat mains gas on cost-per-kWh-of-heat when paired with a battery and off-peak tariff.
Warranty depth. Bosch backs every product with a 5-year manufacturer warranty on the unit itself. We add 2 years of Greenscape labour warranty on top of that, so for the first two years anything that needs replacing on site is included.

Bosch Climate 3000i (outdoor compressor, single-split systems)
The outdoor unit for our single-room installs. Pairs with one Bosch Climate 3200i indoor wall unit to make a complete single-room system. Compact, quiet, and designed to sit discreetly on an external wall.

Bosch Climate 3200i (indoor wall unit, used across the range)
The indoor unit you'll actually see and hear in the room. Pairs with the 3000i outdoor for single-split jobs, or with the 5000i outdoor for multi-split jobs (up to five 3200i indoor units from one 5000i). Identical indoor experience whether your system has one room or five.

The outdoor unit for our multi-room installs. Pairs with two to five Bosch Climate 3200i indoor wall units, with each indoor unit independently controlled.

Bosch features that matter on a UK install

Smart sensing
The 3200i indoor units include a motion sensor that adjusts airflow direction based on where people are in the room. Saves energy by not over-cooling empty corners.

Dehumidification mode
Selectable separately from cooling. Useful on muggy summer days when the rooms aren't hot but the air feels clammy.

Quiet mode
Drops the fan speed and slows the compressor for overnight use. Indoor noise drops to 19 dB in this mode, which is genuinely below the threshold of human hearing in a normal bedroom.

Wi-fi app control
Bosch HomeCom app on iOS and Android. Set temperatures from your phone before you get home. Schedule weekly patterns. Pair with Alexa and Google Assistant.

Air filtration
Multi-stage filter behind the front panel, captures up to 95% of dust, pollen, and airborne particulates. Washable, takes 5 minutes to maintain every couple of months. Particularly valuable for hay fever sufferers during spring and summer.
Bosch warranty terms
- 5-year product warranty from Bosch on every domestic Climate-range unit installed by an authorised installer. Covers:
- Compressor
- Indoor and outdoor electronics
- Refrigerant leakage from manufacturing defects
- Replacement parts
- 2-year Greenscape labour warranty added on top. Covers:
- Engineer call-outs for in-warranty issues
- Re-pressurisation of refrigerant where loss isn't your fault
- Recommissioning if the system needs reset after a fault
Combined, you're covered for the cost of repairs for the first two years no matter what goes wrong, and for parts for the first five.
We handle warranty claims directly with Bosch. You don't need to ring them or fill in forms. We do all of that.
Bosch versus the alternatives
Customers occasionally ask why we don't offer Mitsubishi or Daikin alongside Bosch. Short answer: standardising on one premium brand means our engineers know the kit inside out, our parts inventory is focused, and our diagnosis time when something goes wrong is fast. We've seen multi-brand installers struggle with patchy support, longer lead times for parts, and less consistent install quality.
If you have a specific reason for wanting a different brand (compatibility with an existing system, for example), let us know at survey and we'll discuss options. For 95% of customers, Bosch is the right answer and we install it confidently.

Had my Air Con installed today.. Could not fault the two installers who attended. . Arrived nice and early, took a look around outside and indoors no hesitation in starting work and confirming where I wanted the appliance. Shoes off each time they entered house and completed the tidy up after themselves. Remote and operation of A/C explained to me.. Good work, keep it up.

I've just had solar panels, battery and EV charger installed by Mark and Luke. They arrived a little early, did the job as quietly as possible with no fuss, and have finished much earlier than I'd expected. Mark then explained what's what, which I think I'll remember. Couldn't expect more. Scaffolding subcontractor was similarly efficient putting the scaffolding up. The back office and survey staff have been friendly and efficient too. It has been good to be able to visit the showroom office in Ipswich.

Google I have been very impressed with the service I received from Greenscape. The initial survey was very professionally done by Andrew and I was pleased that he convinced me not to have more panels than necessary. The team that installed the battery and inverter were excellent and very pleasant to deal with. The system is up and running and there have been no complications. I thoroughly recommend Greenscape.

Common Bosch questions
01 Are Bosch units made in Germany?
Most of the Climate range is manufactured in Bosch's facilities in Germany and Portugal. Some smaller components are sourced internationally as is standard across the industry.
02 How does Bosch compare to Mitsubishi or Daikin?
Comparable on efficiency, slightly quieter on the headline figures, generally easier to service. All three are premium brands with good reliability records. We chose Bosch primarily for the warranty depth and the engineering consistency.
03 Will my Bosch unit need much maintenance?
A 5-minute filter rinse every 2 to 3 months. An annual service from us is recommended but not mandatory (typical cost £85 to £120). That's the entire maintenance commitment.
04 What if my unit fails outside the warranty period?
After year 5, you pay for parts and labour. Bosch units typically run 15+ years without major faults, so this is rare. If a component does need replacing, parts are widely available and our engineers know the kit.
