Excellent support, very efficient and useful.
Single Room Air Conditioning Installation
From £2,750, fully fitted. One indoor wall unit, one outdoor compressor, one day on site. Whisper-quiet cooling and heating for the room you actually use most.
A single-room split is the most popular air-conditioning system we install. Bedroom, home office, frequently used living room, conservatory. One Bosch Climate inverter unit handles cooling all summer, gentle heating through the colder months, and dehumidification on muggy days.

Who a single-room split is right for
You're cooling one room consistently. Maybe two if they're adjacent and you'll leave the door open. You want the system fitted fast, the running cost low, and the indoor unit to disappear into the décor.
The classic use cases:
- Bedroom cooling for sleep
- UK summers are getting hotter and humid. A 21 dB indoor unit keeps a bedroom at 19°C overnight for pennies, and customers tell us the change to their sleep quality is the unexpected favourite benefit.
- Home office
- West-facing or south-facing rooms turn into ovens by midday. A split unit cools the room in under 15 minutes and keeps it stable through the working day.
- Conservatory or garden room
- Glazed extensions overheat brutally in summer. A single split makes them usable for a third more of the year.
- Top-floor flat or loft conversion
- Heat rises, and these rooms suffer worst. Targeted cooling means you don't need to overspend cooling the whole house.

What the install day actually looks like
A single-room split is a one-day job in most cases.
- 08:00–09:00. Team arrives, dust-sheets the rooms, walks the agreed install plan with you
- 09:00–12:00. Indoor unit bracket fitted, pipework run to the outdoor location, holes core-drilled where needed
- 12:00–13:00. Outdoor compressor mounted and connected
- 13:00–15:00. Refrigerant charged, system pressure-tested, electrical connection completed
- 15:00–16:30. Commissioning, app setup, walk-through with you on how to use it
- 16:30–17:00. Tidy up, paperwork, leave the house clean
Most customers go from "the team arrived this morning" to "it's installed and running by tea time."
Running costs
Cooling a single bedroom overnight: typically under 35p on a standard electricity tariff. Less than running your oven for 45 minutes.
If you have solar, daytime cooling costs effectively zero. If you have solar plus a battery on an off-peak tariff, even overnight cooling drops to 5 to 10p per night.
In heating mode through shoulder months and mild winter days, the same unit runs at up to 510% efficiency. One kWh of electricity delivers up to 5.1 kWh of heat. That makes it significantly cheaper per kWh of useful heat than mains gas heating, and dramatically cheaper than plug-in electric heaters.
Pricing
From £2,750, fully fitted and certified.
The final number depends on a few survey-stage variables: which Bosch model best fits the room size, how far the outdoor unit sits from the indoor unit (longer pipework runs cost a little more), and whether there's any electrical work needed at the consumer unit.
Finance available on all installations. SAVE £300 when you install air-conditioning alongside a Solar and Battery system from Greenscape.
Our reviews speak for themselves
Great technical support from a most personable Callum.
My email was answered by Chloe Hickman who made the adjustment I requested by return. Thank you Chloe, well done. Keep up the good work.
Had my Air Con installed today.. Could not fault the two installers who attended. . Arrived nice and early, took a look around outside and indoors no hesitation in starting work and confirming where I wanted the appliance. Shoes off each time they entered house and completed the tidy up after themselves. Remote and operation of A/C explained to me.. Good work, keep it up.
I had a conversation with Callum Wrigley yesterday and he was very polite, efficient and completed my requirements very quickly, I would not hesitate to recommend him and Greenscape energy
Easy payment by credit card
I've just had solar panels, battery and EV charger installed by Mark and Luke. They arrived a little early, did the job as quietly as possible with no fuss, and have finished much earlier than I'd expected. Mark then explained what's what, which I think I'll remember. Couldn't expect more. Scaffolding subcontractor was similarly efficient putting the scaffolding up. The back office and survey staff have been friendly and efficient too. It has been good to be able to visit the showroom office in Ipswich.
Good communication. Did what was required promptly Thank you Callum
After leaving a message and emailing w/b 5 Oct 26, I telephoned again at the end of that week and spoke with Callum Wrigley in the tech dept. He listened to my concern, was very understanding and dealt with the problem I had efficiently and to my satisfaction. Thank you Callum
Good Service
Michaela, dealt with my finance query in a professional, efficient manner, and placated my fears that the progress on my solar system would be paused until the return of the surveyor from holiday. Good customer care. Thank you
Very professional and efficient from the sales engagement through to commissioning. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them.
I have been very impressed with the service I received from Greenscape. The initial survey was very professionally done by Andrew and I was pleased that he convinced me not to have more panels than necessary. The team that installed the battery and inverter were excellent and very pleasant to deal with. The system is up and running and there have been no complications. I thoroughly recommend Greenscape.
I arranged to have solar panels and a battery installed by Greenscape via OVO Energy. From start to finish, the service has been excellent. From the survey, to the panel installation and battery installation, every team member has been professional and very friendly. The after sales have kept in contact to make sure everything has gone smoothly. Couldn't fault Greenscape.
Common questions
01 How long is the install?
One day on site for a standard single-room split. Occasionally a day and a half if the pipework run is unusually long or there's awkward electrical work.
02 How noisy is the indoor unit?
Bosch Climate units run as quiet as 21 dB, which is softer than a whisper and noticeably quieter than a fridge. You forget it's on.
03 Where does the outdoor unit go?
Usually wall-mounted on an external wall, or floor-mounted at ground level. We survey for the best position that minimises pipework, keeps the unit out of sight from the front of the property, and respects any neighbour considerations.
04 Can a single unit cool more than one room?
Technically yes if the rooms are adjacent and the doors stay open, but the system is sized for the room it's installed in. If you want consistent cooling across multiple rooms, a multi-room split is the right answer.
05 Do I need planning permission?
Almost never for a standard domestic single-room install in England. Permitted development covers most cases. Exceptions for listed buildings and conservation areas, which we check during the survey.

A free survey takes around an hour. We assess the room, walk through positioning options, and send you a bespoke proposal straight away.
