Alistair and his wife are returning Greenscape customers, having previously had both solar and an Air Source Heat Pump installed at their former home. When they moved into their 1903 terraced house in Downham Market, going renewable again was never in question — the challenge was doing so on a characterful older property with solid walls and no cavity insulation.
Fourteen solar panels were fitted to the rear of the property, paired with Pylon batteries and a Zappi EV charger. The couple drive a Fiat 500e and particularly value the ability to charge directly from solar — meaning genuinely zero-carbon journeys. Additional battery storage is already being considered to make better use of cheap off-peak energy.
Summer energy bills drop as low as £50–60 per month, with solar doing much of the heavy lifting. For a couple whose primary motivation has always been environmental rather than financial, the system is quietly delivering on their goal of running a home on as little carbon as possible.
Choose your installer carefully. Do not believe the naysayers or the negativity in the media — do lots of research and talk to people who already have systems installed.

Had my Air Con installed today.. Could not fault the two installers who attended. . Arrived nice and early, took a look around outside and indoors no hesitation in starting work and confirming where I wanted the appliance. Shoes off each time they entered house and completed the tidy up after themselves. Remote and operation of A/C explained to me.. Good work, keep it up.

I've just had solar panels, battery and EV charger installed by Mark and Luke. They arrived a little early, did the job as quietly as possible with no fuss, and have finished much earlier than I'd expected. Mark then explained what's what, which I think I'll remember. Couldn't expect more. Scaffolding subcontractor was similarly efficient putting the scaffolding up. The back office and survey staff have been friendly and efficient too. It has been good to be able to visit the showroom office in Ipswich.
