Colin had looked into solar before, but a quote from an unreliable installer put him off. It was Solar Together Cambridgeshire that finally gave him and his partner the confidence to move forward — and with Greenscape, that confidence proved well placed. Environmental responsibility and keeping bills low for the long term were the goals, and the system has delivered on both.
Seven panels and two 2.4kWh Pylon batteries were fitted across a two-day installation — a heatwave making conditions so challenging that Colin put a fan in the loft for the electrician. Paired with an Octopus Agile tariff, the couple now take full advantage of cheap and even negative-priced energy periods to heat their home and charge the batteries, exporting very little as they consume almost everything generated.
The impact has been substantial. Annual grid consumption has fallen from an estimated 7,022kWh in 2021 to around 4,998kWh — a saving of roughly 2,000kWh per year. Crucially, the system was installed ahead of the energy price spike, shielding the household from the worst of the grid pricing rises. A third Pylon battery is now being quoted for.
Do it — put a lot in, to get a lot out. The panels are so much better these days.

Had my Air Con installed today.. Could not fault the two installers who attended. . Arrived nice and early, took a look around outside and indoors no hesitation in starting work and confirming where I wanted the appliance. Shoes off each time they entered house and completed the tidy up after themselves. Remote and operation of A/C explained to me.. Good work, keep it up.

Easy payment by credit card
I've just had solar panels, battery and EV charger installed by Mark and Luke. They arrived a little early, did the job as quietly as possible with no fuss, and have finished much earlier than I'd expected. Mark then explained what's what, which I think I'll remember. Couldn't expect more. Scaffolding subcontractor was similarly efficient putting the scaffolding up. The back office and survey staff have been friendly and efficient too. It has been good to be able to visit the showroom office in Ipswich.
